God's Country...
The is the swimming/camping/barbeque spot next to the Pedernales River. This area was a big selling point that convinced my parents to make the big move and has become a santuary of peace and prosperity for my friends and family.
Ohh, the nights spent sleeping under the stars
down by the river, with the calming sound of
running water in serenading your ears.
Ain't much else like this in the world.
Engrained in my memory are images of the river
at night, with a full moon casting sprinkles of
light across the water. Even today, the river is a
welcome relief from the business of the city,
with its calming sound of running water and nature.
Feeling the moss at river's bottom squish up between
your toes, and tiny minnows nibbling on your legs,
with the only music played by the songbirds in trees
overhanging by water's edge.
By the Fire, By the River
This is a picture I took of my friends gathered around the campfire for warmth
the last time we went camping by the Pedernales River.
